Evaluation of regional film funds

ideas2evidence was commissioned by the Ministry of Culture to complete an evaluation of the system of state support for regional film funds.

The evaluation covers various aspects of the regional film funds and the investment business. In addition, it has given a thorough assessment of the extent to which the regional film fund helps fulfil the main objectives of the work. The report concludes, among other things, that funds have helped to increase the capital to the Norwegian film production and to strengthen the regional film community. The evaluation has also shown that the regional film funds have helped to create greater diversity in the Norwegian film production, primarily by creating conditions for film development and film production in various parts of the country.
