ideas2evidence Rapport 5/2007: Commissioned by The Administration of Hordaland County, the Municipality of Bergen and Innovation Norway, ideas2evidence has done a study of selected culture industries of Hordaland. The study emphasizes 3 industries: rhythmic music, film/media and design, and is based on different data sources:
• Official statistics from Statistics Norway
• A survey of all firms and actors within these cultural industries
• Qualitative interviews with 36 crucial actors from the 3 industries.
The study focuses on the nature of the industries such as how they are organized and their development, but also cooperation and interaction between the actors. One of the main purposes of the project is to gain knowledge in order to improve efficiency of public economic support.
